Fun Time for Nurses — Best New Year’s Eve Events in Connecticut

This year, New Year’s Eve is also a Friday night, which really does make it better somehow, doesn’t it?

All over Connecticut, cities and towns will be celebrating various First Night Events. And since most, if not all, take place outside, you’ve got every reason to join the festivities. We’ve gone ahead and identified some of the special ones across the state so you don’t have to go searching for them. Some of the biggies you are probably already familiar with, but there are several hidden gems in here that you may want to give a try this year.

First Night Hartford

Ring in the New Year in our state capital. First Night Hartford returns with in-person events this year to mark its 33rd anniversary.

With dozens of high-profile sponsors, this year’s activities are going to be spectacular. This multicultural, artistically unique, family-friendly event features musicians, artists, performance groups, and exhibits. You can learn more here and sign up for notifications.

Noon Year’s Eve at the Maritime Aquarium, Norwalk

A great idea for the kiddos, spend the morning at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk where kids can enjoy music, bubbles, face painting and feel like grown-ups with a countdown to 12 o’clock...noon.

First Night Weston-Westport

Downtown Westport comes alive on New Year’s Eve with 30 arts-inspired events, performances, and activities for kids, teens, and adults.

The Irons New Year’s Eve Bash with Wicked Peach at Hilton Mystic

Rock in the New Year with an intimate concert with local favorite, Wicked Peach. The ticket price gets you prosecco toast at midnight and a buffet breakfast at midnight-plus-one minute.

New Year’s Eve at Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, Westbrook

If you’re looking for a special night of incredible food and cocktails, plus live music throughout the night, capped with a champagne toast at midnight, then you should head into Westbrook.

Enjoy an hour-long cocktail hour and passed hors d'oeuvres, a four-course meal, and two live bands with Le’Mixx and Nick Fradiani, Sr.
