The Age Friendly Foundation's Certified Age Friendly Employer (CAFE) program is an initiative that finds organizations that are dedicated to being the best places to work for employees that are 50 years or older and to assist job seekers above the age of 50 by identifying age-friendly employers.

As a homecare services provider, Assured Quality Homecare is responding to the demographic shift in the communities where they work and live. The emergence of the middle-age adults (often in their 40s and 50s)- who take care of both elderly parents and their children has revealed the different obstacles working adults experience and the support they need from their employers.

Certified Age Friendly Employers are those that value employees based solely on their qualifications, contribution, and proficiency, and also maintain practices, programs, and policies supporting people age 50 and older. Additionally, Certified Age Friendly Employers want age 50+ candidates to know they are valued for their maturity, knowledge, productivity, and reliability as well as their commitment to providing development opportunities, meaningful employment, and competitive benefits and pay for those employees.

The Age Friendly Foundation's works to promote innovation that supports active, healthy, and productive aging for all through education, advocacy and promoting collaboration among thought leaders in aging services.

“As a Certified Age Friendly Employer, Assured Quality Homecare had demonstrated its dedication and commitment to supporting employees as they age,” said Amanda Henshon, the Executive Director of Age Friendly Foundation.

“It is our pleasure to be recognized as a Certified Age Friendly Employer,” said Samanta Roseme, RN BSN, Assured Quality Homecare CEO & Founder. ” Assured Quality Homecare is aligned in our commitment to employees as they hit their mid-career strides and find themselves in need of support for their elderly parents, as well as to our employees in the ‘aging’ workforce.”

Since their founding in 2016, together, they have already received national recognition as a Best of Homecare®, Best of Readers’ Choice, and Employer of Choice organization. Despite that, they continually challenge themselves to be the gold standard in homecare — all for the good of their older adults and the caregivers who care for them.
