Fun Time for Nurses: Best Haunted Spots and Corn Mazes in Connecticut
Spooky season is here (along with apple cider donuts and pumpkin-spiced everything!)
Connecticut has a treasure trove of haunted spots and haunted corn mazes to explore this month with the family.
Many are authentically spooky and some are straight-up manufactured spooky complete with local acting talent and gallons of fake blood. Both are fun, but one may leave you wide awake at 2 am wondering what’s under your bed.
Here is a list of local… haunts for you to explore with your loved ones.
Nightmare Acres
Billed as one of Connecticut’s “Top-Rated Halloween Attractions,” Nightmare Acres is an outdoor haunted experience running Fridays and Saturdays through October.
With 4.5 stars on Google and 88 reviews, Nightmare Acres deserves a visit in South Windsor. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or at the ticket booth. Attraction is open from 7pm-11pm.
Legends of Fear
The Scare Factor rated Legends of Fear the #1 Must-See Haunt in Connecticut in 2019. 355 reviews and 4.5 stars on Google seem to back up the rating.
Legends of Fear is a multi-attraction haunted experience, located in Shelton, with a Haunted Hayride, the Hallow Trail deep in the woods, the Funhouse of Fear, and more. There are several different ticket price levels depending on which attractions you want to visit.
The website has plenty of videos so you can preview the level of scary if you are planning a night out with the kiddos.
Trail of Terror
Trail of Terror ranks highest on Google for sheer enjoyment with 4.8 stars and over 500 reviews. Located in Wallingford, Trail of Terror is well-known for its engaging cast of characters that make this haunting experience fun for the whole family.
